We prepared an in-depth analysis of the economic, political and social implications of different courses of action, which assisted PHEAA in determining that the transaction was not in its best interest.
• When The Dickinson School of Law faced increasing capital needs and competitive pressures, Griffin team members helped it build consensus and negotiate a transaction with The Pennsylvania State University, which resulted in an increase in its endowment and capital funds and permitted it a degree of autonomy.
• When a large church-related health, retirement and social services organization wanted to partner with a similar organization to enlarge its service area, reduce costs to expand its mission and retain the benefits of its debt structure, Griffin team members helped it to structure the affiliation, merge its systems and satisfy the debt holders.
• When the owner of national pharmaceutical wholesaler and packager Dixon-Shane, Inc. was looking to sell the company to a strategic buyer, he turned to our team.
