Resident in Griffin’s New York office, Alexander Clark has more than 25 years of experience providing investment banking services to the insurance industry. These services include strategic alternative studies, M&A, public offerings and private placements, advisory and valuation services and fairness opinions for both mutual and stock insurance companies.

Mr. Clark was previously a Managing Director at Madison Williams, where he lead the Insurance Investment Banking Group. Prior thereto, he was a Managing Director at Advest Group for 13 years, where he was responsible on a global basis for all investment banking activities in the insurance industry. He was also a Senior Vice President at Gramercy Partners and McKinley Allsopp, Inc., and has held senior executive positions at Kidder Peabody & Co. and Dean Witter & Co.

Mr. Clark has significant experience in both raising private and public capital and in providing M&A advisory services to insurance companies. Early in his career, he was heavily involved in developing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as they relate to the life insurance industry.

Mr. Clark is a Chartered Financial Analyst and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Pennsylvania National Insurance Group, Unity Financial Life Insurance Company, American Equity Investment Life Holding Company (NYSE:AEL), Penn Treaty American Corporation (BB: PTYA) and Great American Life Insurance Company of New York, a subsidiary of American Financial Group (NYSE: AFG). He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He holds a Series 7 license from FINRA.
