Dan Hayes provides financial and transaction structuring support to banks, hedge funds and other investors. He brings nearly 30 years of financial structuring and accounting experience to helping companies and their executives address key financial and operational issues and structure financial transactions.

Dan was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Selene Finance. Selene, one of the largest hedge funds in the nation, built a captive special servicing company, to buy and work out distressed mortgages. Dan was a senior member of the executive team of the special servicer, and actively involved in raising capital and sourcing loans for the fund. Prior to Selene, Dan was a partner with Ernst & Young, focused on advising financial services and real estate companies. He has consulted with clients on a wide variety of financial and operational issues, including improving financial processes. He has advised companies on the accounting and tax issues of financial transactions, including spin offs, sale leasebacks, partnership formations, joint venture, debt restructuring and private equity investments.

Dan is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina and an M.S. in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas.
