Matthew Jozwiak provides capital and strategic planning services to banks and depository institutions. He uses his banking experience to assist clients in capital planning and public and private placements of debt and equity. He also helps Griffin clients in assessing investment risk and managing banks’ assets and liabilities.

Mr. Jozwiak is skilled at financial forecasting and modeling, economic analysis, capital planning, balance sheet management, creating securities portfolio and funding strategies and securities portfolio management. He also has a merger and acquisition advisory and rating agency background.

Prior to joining Griffin, Mr. Jozwiak was a Senior Vice President at Sovereign Bank where, during his 13-year tenure, he worked on public and private placements of debt and equity, built the bank’s first Interest Rate Risk (IRR) assessment process, served as the bank’s asset liability manager (IRR & Forecasting), served as direct point of contact to key rating agencies and served as the resident expert on capital planning and capital management.

Mr. Jozwiak received a B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis from The Pennsylvania State University.
