Matthew Jozwiak provides capital, strategic and industry insight to banks and depository institutions. From a practitioner's perspective, he relies on his diversified banking experience to assist clients in building and supporting their capital plans, including capital structure optimization and capital adequacy concerns. Mr. Jozwiak is skilled at financial forecasting and modeling, economic analysis, balance sheet management, creating securities portfolio and funding strategies and securities portfolio management. He also has merger and acquisition advisory and a rating agency background. Prior to joining Griffin, Mr. Jozwiak was a Senior Vice President at Sovereign Bank where, during his 13-year tenure, he focused on public and private placements of debt and equity, was instrumental in building the bank’s Interest Rate Risk (IRR) assessment process, served as the bank’s asset liability manager (IRR & Forecasting), served as direct point of contact to key rating agencies and served as the resident expert on regulatory, rating agency and economic capital frameworks. Mr. Jozwiak received a B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis from The Pennsylvania State University.
