Vince Thomas provides investment banking services to community banks and other financial institutions, and assists them in finding and raising operational and growth capital. He has raised extensive capital for de novo banks and most recently in 2008, raised $6.6 million for Savoy Bank in New York City. Vince is a former Vice President with Anderson & Strudwick (A&S), a Virginia-based investment banking and brokerage firm, where he was responsible for raising common equity, trust preferred and preferred equity capital for financial institutions, with an emphasis on community banks. He was the chief capital raiser for Community Bank Investors of America, a private equity fund launched by A&S, which buys and restructures troubled banks and raises turnaround capital through private placements. Prior to joining A&S, Vince spent over a decade working as an advisor to high net worth clients and institutions with a focus on financial institution stocks and maintains significant relationships among numerous public and private investors. He formed a high net worth investment practice specializing in bank stock investments at Resource Bank, which was acquired by Fulton Bank, and worked in similar capacities at UBS and Davenport & Company in Virginia Beach, VA. Vince received a B.A. in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
